Local Data Storage

All data you create within Metanoia is stored exclusively on your device:

• Examination responses: Your answers and selected items during examination of conscience are stored locally on your device.
• Personal reflections: Any notes you add are saved only to your device's local storage.
• Confession history: If you choose to track your confession dates, this information remains on your device.
• App preferences: Settings such as notification preferences are stored locally.

Data Security

We take the security of your spiritual data seriously:

• Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted on your device using industry-standard encryption.
• PIN/Biometric Protection: Access to confession-related content is protected by PIN code or biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint).
• No Account Required: You never need to create an account or provide any personal information to use Metanoia.
• Offline Functionality: The app works entirely offline. Your data never leaves your device.

No Third-Party Sharing

Since we do not collect any data, there is no data to share. We do not:

• Sell your information to third parties
• Share data with advertisers
• Use third-party analytics services
• Integrate with social media platforms
• Transmit any information to external servers

Deleting Your Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Clear within the app: Use the app's settings to clear your examination history, notes, or confession records.
• Uninstall the app: Removing Metanoia from your device will permanently delete all associated data.

Children's Privacy

Metanoia does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for Catholics of all ages preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
